In This Simulation Game You'll Be the Chief Editor of a Newspaper

If you ever wanted to fix journalism, this game is for you.

If you are someone who likes journalism and always wants to make changes to what you read, Good News might be just for you. It's a simulation game that lets you serve as the chief editor of a growing newspaper.

You'll have to correct your writer's work, fit the tone to your audience, make the readership grow, and establish a relationship with the shady politicians who are trying to buy you so you'll give them a favorable review in the election.

You'll decide whether you want the newspaper to please your audience, or publish news just in favor of a political figure. Make sure that every article is written correctly and fits the newspaper's line.

Achieve every goal you're assigned. The CEO of the newspaper will trust that you can get them to the top.

These are some of the features of the game:

  • Multiple endings: Your actions lead you to a variety of outcomes.
  • Alive world: Everything is constantly changing as you progress.
  • Original art style: Pixel art 1-bit graphics.
  • Retro setting: Inspired by real-life events with a fictional setting.

The game is being developed by Augusto Salgado, who is a Game Programmer based in Buenos Aires with experience in psychology, game design, and computer science.

Good News doesn't have a release date yet, but you can download the demo or add it to your wishlist on Steam.
