"Incredible Feat": Digital Foundry Tested Bloodborne Brought to PC by shadPS4 Emulator

Digital Foundry, a team that specializes in technical analysis of gaming hardware and software, has tested the unofficial PC version of Bloodborne brought by the creators of shadPS4, a PS4 emulator that has rapidly increased the game's playability in recent months. 

At the moment, Bloodborne is available at 60 FPS, although you'll need certain hardware to get the most out of it. Digital Foundry's Thomas Morgan took it for a ride on his AMD Ryzen 7 5700X paired with NVIDIA RTX 4080, and it's the CPU that became a bottleneck, preventing him from enjoying a stable 60 FPS during the whole journey: it jumped to 45 FPS something in crowded areas, with one CPU core overloading to 100%. Morgan played at 1152p, and lowering the resolution to 1080p didn't fix the issue.

One subscriber sent Digital Foundry their footage on Intel Core i5-12600K and RTX 4080 with 32 GB of RAM, and the game worked perfectly at 60 FPS and ven higher on this system, so you have an idea of what your hardware needs to be to handle the heat.

Morgan used shadPS4 0.5.1, and one mod he deems crucial is the Vertex Explosion Fix, which disables face customization but makes sure you don't see your character's head glitching.

Morgan also tried some mods, including the Bloodborne PC Remaster Project, which he praised for its approach to visuals, and everything seems to be working fine, so if you are ready for the experience and don't plan on waiting for the official PC version, which might never come, download shadPS4 and see it for yourself.
