Indie Developer Turns His Daughter's Drawings Into a Game

Check out Odd Dorable, a vibrant puzzle adventure created by Artur Latkovsky and imagined by his 4-year-old daughter.

In a case not too dissimilar from Tom Curtis' detailed recreations of his child's doodles, Indie Game Developer Artur Latkovsky has also recently drawn inspiration from the mind of a child, unveiling a whimsical upcoming game inspired by the drawings of his 4-year-old daughter.

Check out Odd Dorable, a playful puzzle adventure set in a cozy hand-drawn open world. Immersing the player in a sense of pure imagination, the game lets you rediscover your inner child as you meet a cast of quirky characters and explore different jolly, colorful locations, with the final goal of finding six magic candies and helping the princess reclaim her magical powers.

Odd Dorable promises around 30 minutes to an hour of playtime, with gameplay fully focused on visual storytelling, so no language is needed to play and enjoy the experience.

"Attention: This game is digestible," the developer writes. "A digestible game respects its players' money and time, is designed around a single idea, and doesn’t overstay its welcome. We want you to be able to finish our games in just a short session without ever making you feel stuffed, so to say."
