Insomniac's Leak Is "Shameful", "They Didn't Deserve This, No One Does"

People all over the industry come forward to support Insomniac Games in this awful crisis.

Just over a week ago, we reported that hackers, known as The Rhysida, claimed to have gained access to personal data and projects developed by Insomniac Games, threatening to release it if the ransomware gang is not paid.

Unfortunately, they weren't bluffing, and Insomniac faced a terrifying time when The Rhysida leaked internal documents stolen from the company.

In light of this, the game industry has rallied behind Insomniac, expressing support and judging the data breach and the people who are responsible for that.

"My heart goes out to the people affected by the Insomniac leaks, and a hearty f**k you to the people responsible. I've had to pay a service for the last 2 years to make sure no one messes with my personal data after my company was hacked in 2021. Stuff like that truly sucks," wrote Philipp Weber, The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077' Narrative Director.

Neil Druckmann, Naughty Dog's CEO, also supported Insomniac's team, saying "We can't wait to experience your next games whenever you feel they're ready!"

Roger Clark, the voice actor behind Red Dead Redemption 2's Arthur Morgan, also noted that even though the whole situation is horrendous, it's heartwarming to see how "the games community comes together to show their support."

Here are some more developers who expressed their sympathy and support for Insomniac.
