Last year, Foundry shut down Modo, its modeling, rendering, and animation software, used by many artists, who would miss it deeply. Despite a variety of similar programs, some of Modo's features attracted professionals to this app specifically, so losing it can't have been easy.
Thankfully, you can now bring your Modo workflows to Blender thanks to Yoshiaki Tazaki's YT-Tools, an add-on "designed to enhance the modeling workflow, especially for users familiar with Modo. It offers intuitive selection tools, slicing operators, falloff-based transforms, and various utilities to accelerate your modeling experience."
Tazaki spent 10 years as a Senior Software Engineer at Foundry, so you can be sure you'll get the best experience.

"After working with MODO for over 17 years, when I switched to Blender just over a year ago, what I missed most were its fantastic Falloffs," shared 3D Artist Cristóbal Vila. "But thanks to the new add-on from the great Taz-San, that's no longer an issue: FALLOFFS AND MUCH MORE!"

Loop / Direct Select: Modo-like loop selection storing element selection order in the selection history
Cycle Selection Mode: Space key to toggle between Face/Edge/Vertex
Selection Sets
- Save and restore complex selections by name. Allows undo-independent management of selected elements.
Mesh Editing

Polygon Slice/Edge Slice: Interactive slicing using handle gizmos
Merge (Symmetry-aware): Intelligent merge across axes
Delete Contextual: Context-aware delete for faces, edges, vertices
Transform with Falloff
Linear/Radial Transform: Move/Scale/Rotate with linear or radial influence
Linear Weight: Assign vertex weights with distance-based falloff
Additional Tools
Viewport Display Settings: Quick toggle for selection vs non-selection
Action Center: Auto-set pivot and orientation based on selection
Workplane: Temporary top-view alignment for precision editing
