Israeli Mobile Developer Candivore Raises $10 Million

An Israeli-based game developer Candivore announced it has raised $10 million in a funding round. The company said it will use the money to facilitate the development of casual multiplayer mobile games.

The round was led by venture capital firm Vgames, with the participation of the investment fund Tiger Global Management. With this latest round, Candivore's fundraising has reached a total of $22 million with $12 million of which being raised in February 2021.

Candivore was founded in 2018 and is best known as a developer behind the popular PVP match-three title Match Masters. At the moment, the game has more than five million monthly users, and during its lifetime it has had over 30 million downloads across AppStore and Google Play.

Commenting on the funding round, Candivore CEO Gal Goldstein said: "The mobile gaming space has been booming for years and our journey has been wilder than anything we could have imagined. As we continue to work passionately to add more features for our players, our continued partnership with Vgames will help our efforts to make Match Masters even more rewarding for our global community of users."

The funding round coincided with Candivore’s upcoming online and TV ad campaigns for the UK which were designed to promote and attract more players to Match Masters. The campaigns were launched on May 27, they feature British singer Robbie Williams and actor and football star Vinnie Jones.
