Keanu Reeves Returns As John Wick In New Saber Interactive Game
The creators of the action film franchise are also closely involved in the production.
The story of John Wick is far from over: with Chapter 5 currently in development, the franchise is also expanding with a new game from Saber Interactive, which was revealed during Thursday's State of Play.
In addition to launching on PlayStation 5, it will also arrive on PC and Xbox Series X/S. However, few details about the project are currently available, including the title and release date. What we do know, though, is that Keanu Reeves will portray the main character using both his voice performance and likeness.
Jesus Iglesias, the game's director, confirmed that the game is being developed in close collaboration with the creators of the action film franchise. The goal is to make players feel like they're inside a John Wick film, stepping into the role of the Baba Yaga himself. As for the story, it's an original one and "addresses a significant time in John Wick's life". It will feature familiar characters from the films, along with new ones created specifically for the game.
Saber Interactive is best known for developing Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and has a history of creating games based on popular franchises, like World War Z, and upcoming Jurassic Park: Survival, John Carpenter's Toxic Commando, and more.
