Kintsugi-Style Ceramics Created in 3D with Houdini

A new work by Maxwellbundy.

Take a look at this impressive Houdini simulation crafted by 3D Artist Max Schwugier, also known as Maxwellbundy.

The artist created a fascinating take on the Kintsugi technique, in which pieces of broken ceramics are joined back with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered metal – gold, silver, or platinum. The artwork features highly detailed texturing and mesmerising transitions of a liquid metal.
