Lara Croft Returns at The Game Awards

Fans will receive some news about the Tomb Raider series at The Game Awards 2025, as confirmed by Geoff Keighley.

The information about the upcoming reveal was first spotted in The Game Awards Vote in the Fortnite map portal and later confirmed by the TGA producer, Geoff Keighley. "Lara Croft returns at #TheGameAwardse," he writes on X/Twitter. "As just revealed in our The Game Awards Vote in Fortnite map portal, tune in Thursday night for a look at the future of one of gaming's most iconic franchises," Keighley explains and adds: "This is one you won't want to miss."

The tweet was later reposted by the official Tomb Raider account, with a comment that also builds anticipation: "Lara Croft RETURNS for a moment you cannot miss."

It's unclear what kind of news will be revealed, whether it's a new game or the news will concern Amazon's live-action Tomb Raider series. Crystal Dynamics has been working on a sequel announced in 2022, so there's a good chance the announcement will be connected to that project.

The Game Awards will take place on December 11 at 7:30P ET/4:30P PT/12:30A+1 GMT at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with a livestream available.
