Long-Awaited Sandbox "Squirrel with a Gun" Has Been Released

Let the chaos commence!

After two years of development and countless hilarious trailers, Squirrel with a Gun, one of the most anticipated indie projects authored by Dee Dee Creations' Daniel DeEntremont and published by Maximum Entertainment, has finally been released and is now available via Steam and EGS.

If you have even a passing interest in indie games, you most likely have already heard about Squirrel with a Gun, a fun Unreal Engine-powered sandbox that combines puzzle platforming and third-person shooter mechanics with an amusing premise where an armed squirrel escapes a secret underground facility and fights off Agents.

In addition to its "gun" aspect, the game is packed with sandbox and puzzle-solving activities that let you unleash your creativity when tackling unique challenges, drive around a suburban neighborhood in a toy car, customize the playable character's appearance, and even cause GTA-style havoc with pedestrians, whom you can help out, mug, or just bump into them for fun.

"Discover what an erratic squirrel is capable of with a gun in its paws (or just its paws) and how far this fuzzy fiend will go to collect its acorns. Escape a secret underground facility and defeat the Agents. Upgrade your weapons and locate the other secret bunkers to take down elite bosses, even blow up a tank. Swap out weapons to try your paw at all 12 types of enemy takedowns."
