Makima from Chainsaw Man Recreated Using Blender

The artist shared some technical details.

3D Artist close2animation unveiled this breathtaking 3D render of the manga series Chainsaw Man, crafted entirely with Blender.

The artist shared that the workflow included all the regular stages –  modeling, texturing, and post-processing and explained some of the technical details. The appealing cel-shaded effect was painted, partly on the model, with texture painting and using standard BSDF shaders, combined with Blender's compositor, with glare and blur on the background. As for the lighting setup, there's one area light for the front of the character and a few lights along the borders of the background, complete with the glare effect.
