Introducing new keyable properties, pattern-to-trim conversion, the ability to import MetaHumans as avatars, and more.
The latest update to CLO Virtual Fashion's 3D clothing design software brings enhanced animation features, workflow refinements, and new garment-creation tools that give artists greater control.
One major highlight is the ability to turn patterns into Trim or Accessory elements, making it simple to attach objects to garments or even build armor plates, as demonstrated in the video above. There's also a new dedicated tool for creating pleats.
Marvelous Designer
The keyframe animation tools introduced in Marvelous Designer 2025 have been expanded to support a broader range of properties. These now include Shrinkage Weft and Shrinkage Warp, which control how tight or loose fabric drapes, Pressure, which enables the creation of inflatable objects, and Solidify, which stiffens the material.

You can now export and optimize your files locally in FBX format using Marvelous Designer's EveryWear system, rather than processing them through the Connect online gallery. Also, Marvelous Designer can now import Unreal Engine's MetaHumans directly in .dna format as avatars.
