If you've been looking to get into rigging with Unreal Engine, Epic Games has just made the Rigging in Unreal Engine 5.6 Workshop available for free on the Epic Developer Community.
For a limited time, anyone can join and learn directly from a team of Epic experts. The workshop guides you through building a full biped rig, from simple props to advanced facial controls, teaching workflows and techniques you can immediately apply in real production pipelines. You'll also get hands-on experience experimenting with rigging systems, including procedural controls, dynamics, and Python tools.
Topics covered include Unreal Engine basics, an introduction to animation tools, Control Rig usage, skeletal editing, FK/IK and Spline setup, creating and rigging deformers, driving blend shapes or morph target animation, and Control Rig physics fundamentals. This workshop is primarily aimed at mid to senior-level riggers who are transitioning to Unreal Engine's real-time Control Rig workflow.
