Masterpiece Studio Launched

MasterpieceVR has released Masterpiece Studio, a new toolkit that combines virtual reality sculpting and painting app Masterpiece Creator and rigging tool Masterpiece Motion.

The release introduces combined subscription pricing for the tools, plus a new export-disabled trial edition of the software.

The toolkit lets users sculpt 3D assets and rig characters in virtual reality, using HTC Vive or Oculus Rift devices.

What you get is a set of basic 3D modeling features, simplified for use in VR. There's support for layers, guides, snapping, mirroring, decimation and more.

As for Masterpiece Motion, it allows artists to place bones and paint weight maps in virtual reality.
