Mega Man X's Flame Mammoth 3D Print Animation Made In Blender

Have you ever wanted to know what it looks like to 3D print and assemble a model? DemNikoArt made a little animation to show you.

In this amazing presentation, 3D Artist Nikodem "DemNikoArt" Bredlich revealed the process of assembling Flame Mammoth, a Reploid sapient robot from the Mega Man X video game series.

The model was created using Blender, and the artist also provided a brief overview of the process steps:

  • Create a model
  • Export as .stl
  • Download PrusaSlicer and import the .stl
  • Slice the model (0.2 mm layer height turned out pretty good)
  • Export as .obj
  • Import into Blender
  • Use Build modifier and set the frame count to the number of layers
  • Hit play
