Mega Man X's Storm Eagle Wing Rig Test Driven By One Controller

"I'm kinda suspicious. It works too well."

Last week, we showcased an incredible Storm Eagle's wing rig, designed by Nikodem "DemNikoArt" Bredlich, known for exceptional Mega Man X fan art, including 3D printable figurines and MAVERICKS, a collection of fan-made films created using Blender.

DemNikoArt has now shared a final test of the rig, featuring the complete model, both available on the artist's Patreon here.

The rig is fully manually set up, with the feathers entirely driven by the controller. Each movement along an axis controls the rotation of the feathers, which are individually adjusted for a natural bend. For the wind-flapping effect, the noise was added to the feather geometry rotation, giving it a dynamic feel.
