Physint, Kojima Productions' new title, promises to blur the line between movies and video games.
During Sony's recently concluded State of Play presentation, Hideo Kojima left Metal Gear Solid fans excited by announcing his return to the action-espionage genre through Kojima Productions' third original IP, codenamed Physint.
Described by Kojima as a "culmination of [his] work," Physint will be created using cutting-edge technology by both game developers and filmmakers, with the ultimate goal being to erase the boundaries between movies and video games.
While specifics about the title remain elusive, and no in-game footage has been showcased, Kojima emphasized that Physint will be an interactive experience closely resembling a film in terms of its story, theme, cast, acting, fashion, and sound.
The Game Designer also revealed that the new title is still in the planning stage and will only enter production after the release of Death Stranding 2, announced back in 2022 and set to launch sometime in 2025. Earlier it was revealed by an industry insider that the sequel's full name is Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, a fact that was proven by the most recent trailer for the game, also shared at State of Play:
