On Nintendo's handheld, the framerate will be limited to 30 FPS.
With the release date for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, a collection of remasters for classic MGS titles that includes Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and several others, steadily approaching, many fans have begun raising questions about how well these remastered games will perform on modern PCs and current-generation consoles.
Hands-on previews of the collection were also made available earlier this week, adding to the existing confusion regarding the display resolutions utilized on different platforms. In response to these concerns, Konami addressed the issue of performance and unveiled the resolutions at which the games will render.
Speaking to VGC, the developer disclosed that Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection is set to deliver a consistent experience of 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second across all platforms except for the Nintendo Switch. The platforms supporting this smooth 60 FPS experience encompass PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
However, on Nintendo's handheld console, the frame rate will be capped at 30 frames per second, accompanied by a resolution of 720p in handheld mode. In docked mode, the games will scale up to a 1080p resolution, although the frame rate will still be maintained at 30 FPS.

Earlier, Konami's Céline Combelles commented on the mouse and keyboard support in the remastered games, saying that Metal Gear Solid, as well as the MSX and NES games, will only receive keyboard support, while Metal Gear Solid 2 will primarily get keyboard controls, along with some mouse support. Metal Gear Solid 3, on the other hand, will offer full keyboard and mouse support, making it the only game in the collection to boast this feature.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 1 is set to be launched on October 24 for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PS4. You can learn more about it here.
