"3 hours of my life that I'll never get back."

A Minecraft modder creatively combined the beloved sandbox game and the upcoming eponymous movie and brought Jack Black's voice to Minecraft's Steve.
First spotted by Games Radar+, modder SnailMan was inspired by the renewed wave of excitement surrounding Minecraft, provoked by the upcoming movie adaptation. SnailMan incorporated the voice of Jack Black, who portrays Steve in the film, into the game itself. "Now you can be Steve from the hit movie Minecraft in the game Minecraft based on the movie Minecraft," the creator writes.
In the video showcased by the modder, you can get a glimpse of the iconic silent protagonist's voice lines. The character says two short phrases – "Steve" and "crafting table." SnailMan humorously notes, " Three hours of my life that I'll never get back."
In another clip, Steve utters lines "the Nether" and "the Overworld" Each time he enters or exits a Nether portal:
The modder planned to expand the mod and use more lines in their work: "I'm squeezing everything I can from these voice lines; nothing will be wasted," SnailMan shares.
Recently, SnailMan said that they submitted the mod for review on Modrinth. "No idea how much it's gonna take. Will link it here once it's accepted." In the meantime, SnailMan offers to take a look at their other mod on their Modrinth page, The Phantom Shapes Mod, which is a tool for previewing 3D shapes in Minecraft.
