MultiVersus, which had gone offline nearly a year ago, is making a comeback, filled with new content, characters, and stages.
The game is set to relaunch with a slew of exciting upgrades on May 28, 2024. Rebuilt in the cutting-edge Unreal Engine 5, the game boasts an enhanced look and upgraded netcode, promising players an even better gaming experience.
Tony Huynh, the Director at Player First Games, the game's developer, indicates that more information or updates to be shared in the near future.

The game will be available on all its original platforms – PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, the game is set to be visually stunning, offering players a more immersive experience. Players returning to the revamped MultiVersus will find their inventory, including characters and cosmetics, intact.
Player First Games has also been building anticipation through MultiVersus' Twitter, hinting at the addition of some brand-new personalities to the roster, and a fresh PvE mode that's set to offer unique rewards.

Launching initially in July 2022 as an open beta, MultiVersus went offline in June 2023 for a comprehensive retooling process. During this period, players could only access the game's offline modes, including the training room and local matches.
