The studio said that the new sci-fi adventure would be its "wildest, most creative story yet."
Naughty Dog, the studio behind The Last of Us and Uncharted, revealed its new video game series, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
The new title is a space-themed sci-fi adventure that has been in works since 2020. Currently, the project is in development for the PlayStation 5 console.
The narrative follows the story of a new protagonist, Jordan A. Mun, a dangerous bounty hunter who finds herself in isolation on a remote planet, without communication to the outside. She has to leave its orbit, a challenge that no one was able to complete in over 600 years.

The studio describes the game as its "wildest, most creative story yet" with "deepest gameplay in Naughty Dog's history," and doesn't disclose any more details yet. However, it says that the game "lives up to the Naughty Dog tradition of creating an emotional, character-driven epic journey."
The lead actress is Tati Gabrielle, whom you might have seen in Netflix's series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and You. Another member of the stellar cast supposedly might be Troy Baker, who portrayed Joel in The Last of Us series and Sam Drake in Uncharted 4. Before, there were reports stating that the actor would collaborate with the studio again for its new title. However, that is just an assumption.

Before, Neil Druckmann, CEO of Naughty Dog, reportedly revealed that the studio had been working on a new game for five years. The executive didn't share much detail at the time, and it could have been talking about Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. In October, industry insider Ben Hanson shared that Naughty Dog was developing a new game that would offer "a lot of player freedom," which also could refer to the newly announced title.
