One can even choose to never put them on in the first place.
In case you missed it, last week, EA released a trailer for Need for Speed Unbound, an upcoming new installment in the company's legendary racing game franchise. The trailer promised that the new game would feature familiar gameplay with high-octane races and car customization, as well as offer a new visual style "that blends elements of the freshest street art with the most realistic-looking cars."
And while many fans of the series were left excited about the new game, some were skeptical about the new stylized effects that wouldn't contrast all that great with highly-realistic cars, not to mention that the street art the visual effects are inspired by is not everyone's cup of tea in general. Luckily for those people, the developers recently confirmed that the controversial VFX is just one of the game's many features and can easily be turned off depending on one's preferences. Moreover, the developers commented that the effects should be viewed as any other part of one's car, meaning one can choose to never even put them on.
