It looks really neat and glossy.
NetEase, a well-known Chinese developer and publisher, announced Project Mugen – an "urban open-world RPG" that will give you your daily dose of anime and fantastic visuals.
The game is in development at Naked Rain, a new game studio from its subsidiary Thunder Fire, and will be released for PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, Android, and the cloud.
From this short video, you can only see amazingly glossy roads, pleasant aesthetics, and some dynamic combat. I expect you can explore the whole city there in its vibrant glory, and it makes me want to find out more.
Thankfully, you can soon enough: more information will come on August 23 at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET.
NetEase has been all over the news not so long ago because of the severance of its long publishing relationship with Blizzard. After 14 years, the companies parted ways as they couldn't come to a mutually beneficial agreement, and it was not pretty: NetEase publically destroyed the World of Warcraft Orc statue outside its office.
Regardless, its Project Mugen looks interesting, so check out its website to learn more and join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Telegram channel, follow us on Threads, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
