Netflix has announced a new animated film based on The Witcher series. The film will focus on Geralt hired to investigate a series of attacks in a coastal village, which leads him into a centuries-old conflict between humans and sirens.
The events of the film will take place between the fifth and sixth episodes of the first season of Netflix's The Witcher series. The film is based on Andrzej Sapkowski's short story, "A Little Sacrifice."
Doug Cockle, known for voicing Geralt in the English version of CD Projekt RED's The Witcher games, will lend his voice to the character in the film. Anya Chalotra, who portrayed Yennefer of Vengerberg in Netflix's show, will voice the character in the film, and Joey Batey, known for his role as Jaskier, will voice the character Lutik.
The Witcher: Sirens of The Deep is set to be released on Netflix at the end of 2024. The exact date will be announced later. Recently, Chad Stahelski, the director behind John Wick's franchise, has shared that an anime project based on the series is currently in the works.
