Pokémon Legends: Z-A takes place in Lumiose City.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A has been announced with its first trailer showcasing the streets of Lumiose City, where the whole game will take place.
"A new adventure awaits within Lumiose City, where an urban redevelopment plan is underway to shape the city into a place that belongs to both people and Pokémon."
The adventure, developed by Game Freak, is going to come to Nintendo Switch systems in 2025 and, as Gamesradar+ pointed out, bring back Mega Evolutions first appearing in the Generation 7 Pokémon games.

When you saw the 2025 date, you probably guessed that Legends: Z-A would be one of the games for Nintendo Switch 2, due to arrive that year as well. It does seem likely as it's said Nintendo delayed the launch to have a rich line-up of titles. However, there is no proof of it yet, and many fans are quick to shut down any dreams of this happening. At the same time, it would be a waste to release a Pokémon game and Switch 2 in the same yer and not take advantage of the new hardware, so we'll have to see.
