New V/H/S Movie Set in SCP Universe Is in Development
The film will continue the found-footage idea.
Spooky Pictures and Image Nation Studios are working on V/H/S: SCP, the next installment in the franchise of found-footage horror movies.
The SCP (Special Containment Procedures) Foundation is a phenomenon that has probably made some people believe in the supernatural, at least for a moment: its Wiki is full of eerie entities described so well that you want to trust it.
Now, you will be able to experience its wonders thanks to producers Roy Lee and Steven Schneider from Spooky Pictures and executive producers Ben Ross (Image Nation Studios) and Rami Yasin (Spooky Pictures).
“The horror genre continues to be a remarkable launchpad for new talent to share original creations, and the vast SCP universe has provided a vital incubator for this creativity to thrive,” Spooky Pictures co-founder Steven Schneider said (via Variety). “Along with INS, this next project reinforces our shared commitment to look in new and unexpected spaces for stories. We can’t wait to expand the V/H/S franchise with new fresh and terrifying stories that will keep viewers coming back for more.”
V/H/S: SCP will be a "recovered field documentation" movie, with standalone segments focused on different parts of the SCP "catalog". The film is scheduled for 2027, adding to the growing collection of adaptations, including games like the popular SCP – Containment Breach, novels, web series, and more.
