Persona 4 fans are overly excited right now as a new domain, "p4re.jp," was registered on March 20 in Japan as spotted by content creator Faz, who also noted that a similar thing happened back in 2023, when the announcement of Persona 3 Reload came three months after the registration of "p3re.jp."
While there's no official confirmation from Atlus yet, it could mean that the official Persona 4 remake announcement won't be far away if they follow the same approach as for Persona 3.
This is actually not the only hint that made fans rejoice. A month ago, a sharp-eyed fan named RUDIGER shared another finding on social media, which shows Japanese singer Shihoko Hirata, who is known for her performance for Persona 4, sharing on Instagram that she's recording for a new game. This caused speculations about whether it would be a Persona 4 remake or Persona 6, which fans have been hoping for since the release of Persona 5 nine years ago, and she liked some comments hoping for Persona 4.
The original Persona 4 was released in 2008 and was well-received by game critics and fans. An enhanced version of the game, Persona 4 Golden, was released for PlayStation Vita in 2012 and later ported to Windows, Nintendo Switch, PS 4, Xbox One, and Series X/S in the early 2020s, selling a total of 2.5 million copies globally by June 2021.
