Nintendo Switch Sales Reached 114 Million Units

Nintendo's latest financial report covering performance for Q2 of the fiscal year ending in March 2023 shared that 114 million Switch consoles had been sold. The document states that the sales decreased by 19.2% year-on-year to 6.68 million units partly due to the semiconductor shortage.

Nintendo has decreased its sales expectations for Switch from 21 million to 19 million units by the end of March 2023.

The recently released Splatoon 3 showed great results with over 7.9 million copies sold. Nintendo Switch Sports has sold 6.15 million, while Mario Strikers: Battle League – 2.17 million.

Overall, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the top-selling title for Nintendo, with 48.4 million units sold to date. Other popular games include Animal Crossing: New Horizons (40.1 million), Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (29.5 million), and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (27.7 million).
