No Rest for the Wicked 1.0 Postponed to 2027

The team wants more time to get the game up to their own standards before release.

Moon Studios

No Rest for the Wicked 1.0's release has been moved to 2027, developer Moon Studios announced.

The studio shared that the game's launch, initially planned for October 2026, has been moved to March 2027. The team said it needs extra time to bring the RPG up to the quality standard it has set for itself: "The honest truth is that we're a small team, and we're holding our games to a standard we won't compromise on."

"We're close, but close isn't good enough for our full 1.0 launch," the announcement reads. In that time, the developers will work on improving performance, tightening the class system, and polishing the whole game. "We'd rather take a few more months than ship something that we know isn't quite perfect yet."

The developer also shared that players on Steam who purchased No Rest for the Wicked before January 1, 2027, will receive Founder's Pack rewards. PlayStation pre-orders open in January 2027, and players on that platform will get a chance to earn the Founder's rewards at that time.

Moon Studios also promised to share some captivating news on its socials. First, it will launch an open beta test in December; also, Wicked Inside will be scheduled in the near future, so stay tuned for updates.
