They're heroes in a half-shell in 3D.
Take a look at this absolutely breathtaking 3D sculpt of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, unveiled by 3D Character and Digital Sculptor Sergio Khazov, a.k.a. serghaz, earlier this month.
Described as the artist's most difficult and satisfying artwork to date, this detailed and nostalgia-inducing sculpt imagines the iconic heroes in a half-shell in 3D, drawing inspiration for its character design from the original comic books and the 1987 animated series and portraying Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo as buffed and formidable warriors. According to serghaz, the sculpt was modeled and painted entirely in ZBrush, Maxon's digital sculpting tool.
"I finally finished one of the heaviest projects I've ever had, and also the one I had the most pleasure in doing because, like for many people, Ninja Turtles were a big part of my childhood," commented the creator. "My favorite character is Michelangelo, as a sculptor and artist and also as a turtle, of course."
