NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 and 3070 were the fastest-growing GPUs in the latest Steam Hardware Survey.
Steam has published the latest hardware and software survey, among others, revealing the monthly data on PC video card usage.
According to the updated statistics, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 and 3070 graphics cards showed the most significant increase holding the first and second position in the chart. The share of the RTX 3080 in May was 1.51% (up 0.24% from the previous month), and the RTX 3070 was 2.13% (up 0.19%).
The third and the fourth places were shared by the RTX 3060 and the GTX 1070 which showed a 0.18% increase from April. According to Tom's Hardware, these figures can be attributed to lower prices for premium GPUs and better supplies.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 remained the most popular graphics card among Steam users in May with a share of 7.17%, followed by the GTX 1650 (6.45%) and GTX 1050 Ti (5.62%).
Steam's statistics also revealed that hexa-core CPUs returned to the leading positions taking the first spot in the chart by the percentage share (33.60%) and the second spot by growth (up 0.54% from the previous month). However, eight-core processors were the fastest-growing CPUs last month growing by 18.68% from April.
