NVIDIA Boosts Robotics Platform for Growing Generative AI Trend

More and more companies on the NVIDIA Jetson platform adopt new generative AI, APIs, and microservices to fast-track industrial digitalization.

NVIDIA is expanding its robotics platform and bringing powerful generative AI models to the edge. This advancement allows transformer models and large language models to be applied in various industries. The Jetson Generative AI Lab provides developers with access to open-source models, accelerating AI application development and deployment at the edge.

With a large developer and customer base, NVIDIA AI and the Jetson platform have gained significant industry traction. Generative AI simplifies the AI development process with zero-shot learning capabilities and a natural language interface, making it easier to deploy and manage AI solutions at the edge.

According to NVIDIA, generative AI, with its understanding of human language prompts, improves ease of use and flexibility for tasks like detection, segmentation, and tracking. It is projected to generate $10.5 billion in revenue for manufacturing operations by 2033. The Jetson Generative AI Lab offers optimized tools and tutorials for deploying open-source models and vision AI solutions, while the NVIDIA TAO Toolkit enables the efficient creation of accurate AI models for edge applications.

NVIDIA Metropolis provides powerful APIs and microservices for building complex vision-based applications, with an expanded set of APIs coming to Jetson. The Isaac platform enables developers to create high-performance robotics solutions across industries. Enhancements to perception and simulation capabilities in Isaac ROS and Isaac Sim further empower robotics developers in automation and robotics solutions.

NVIDIA also introduces curated AI reference workflows based on Metropolis and Isaac frameworks, allowing developers to adopt complete workflows or integrate individual components for faster and cost-effective development. System services simplify integration into edge AI workflows, and JetPack 6 empowers AI developers without requiring a full Jetson Linux upgrade while expanding Linux distribution choices.

The Jetson partner ecosystem provides support and resources for hardware, AI software, and application design services, enabling partners to accelerate time to market and expand their customer base. Independent software vendors can enhance their offerings for Jetson with increased performance and capabilities.

Some more news on the company, NVIDIA and Foxconn are collaborating to drive the AI industrial revolution. Foxconn will use NVIDIA's technology to create data centers that support manufacturing digitization, AI-powered robotics and electric vehicles, and language-based generative AI services.
