The update comes with a new Panorama mode, enabling the creation of 360° landscapes for 3D workflows.
NVIDIA has launched Canvas 1.4, an upgraded version of the company's AI-based tool that can turn doodles into realistic-looking paintings. The update brings a brand-new Panorama mode to the software, a feature that enables one to turn simple brushstrokes and sketches into 360º equirectangular landscapes. What's more, the resulting images can then be tweaked, exported in EXR format at up to 4K resolution, and used as environment maps in 3D software and game engines.
To help others understand the capabilities of the new Panorama mode, 3D Artist Dan "Greenskull" Hammill has recently joined NVIDIA's In the NVIDIA Studio series, explaining how he generated and tweaked a gorgeous landscape and exported it to Unreal Engine 5 as the skybox to create a background.
