NVIDIA released an update that will enhance Starfield performance for gamers with the RTX 30/40-series cards. The company announced that its automatic over-the-air update will enable Resizable BAR technology, resulting in improved performance for Starfield on its latest GPUs. This update became available on September 12, 2023.

"Today, NVIDIA is releasing a Resizable BAR profile for Starfield which increases performance on GeForce RTX 40 Series and GeForce RTX 30 Series desktop and laptop GPUs. In our testing scenario, GeForce RTX 40 Series desktop GPUs see on average a 5% increase in performance. The Starfield Resizable BAR update will be pushed via an Over-The-Air (OTA) update from NVIDIA and will be automatically applied for gamers running the latest Game Ready Driver (537.34) or the previous release (537.17)," says Andrew Burnes, NVIDIA's technical content creator and marketer.

NVIDIA's OTA update will be implemented for both the existing 537.17 drivers and the newly launched 537.34 drivers. These new drivers not only feature one-click optimal settings for Starfield, making the process of selecting settings according to your system easier, but also include a fixed GPU profile specifically for the Microsoft Store version of the game.

The optimized settings that NVIDIA developers introduced for Starfield in their latest driver can be accessed through the GeForce Experience. Additionally, gamers can now benefit from optimized settings for four more titles: Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, Immortals of Aveum, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Wayfinder.
