NVIDIA Unveils the RTX 4070 Ti GPU and RTX 4000 Laptops

The company started the year on a high note by revealing tons of new tech at CES 2023.

During the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) event, NVIDIA shared a lengthy online presentation, unveiling its new tech and providing a look at the upcoming improvements to the already-available GPUs and software.

The highlight of the presentation was the reveal of the RTX 4070 Ti graphics card, the introduction of which has been hinted at by the insiders since November 2022. According to the company, the new GPU features dual AV1 video encoders and fourth-generation Tensor Cores and is said to provide a 70% increase in performance compared to the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti in popular 3D software, such as Maya, Blender, V-Ray, Unreal Engine, and Unity.

The other highlight was the reveal of a new series of laptops powered by RTX 4000 series GPUs. Utilizing the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture – with support for DLSS 3, AV1, and more – and fifth-generation Max-Q technologies, the new laptops are said to be more efficient compared to the last generation and will provide creators with improved performance, thanks to "the right combination of hardware for creative workflows, color-accurate displays, and preinstalled Studio Drivers and Studio software".
