LogInJeff Han showed how the official logo for No Man's Sky developer's new game could have looked.
In case you missed it, during this year's The Game Awards event, Hello Games, the game development studio behind No Man's Sky, announced Light No Fire, a new multiplayer survival adventure game set on a procedurally generated planet the size of Earth. The announcement was made via a picturesque trailer that offered the first look at some of the game's biomes and creatures and revealed Light No Fire's official logo.
Speaking of the logo, Jeff Han, an acclaimed Designer and Design Director at Elastic.tv, has recently shared an exciting behind-the-scenes reel, revealing over 300 logo designs he and his team created for the game.
As depicted in the video, the team experimented with numerous fonts, symbols, and background imagery before ultimately arriving at the final result. Jeff further emphasized that the purpose of the reel was to underscore "the importance of a process, a wide range of directions, a thought process, and how much work was put into designing a single logo".
The video also revealed that at some points in development, the game had a similar yet different name, such as Light No Flame and Light My Fire:
