Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader was released on Nintendo Switch 2 in December 2025, and it was a disaster: poor performance, crashes, and other problems that didn't endear players to the game.
Finally, developer Owlcat Games has released a major update improving optimization and fixing crashes, but that's not all: the sweetest deal is the DLCs that Switch 2 players will receive for free. All of them.
"In order to make up for the disappointment of the initial launch, starting today, all additional in-game content will be free on Nintendo Switch 2, including Deluxe Edition content and all DLC. The first two DLCs, Void Shadows and Lex Imperialis, are available now; the third and upcoming fourth DLC will follow later."
Not all regions allow for free content, so in Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, and South Korea, the developers set up minimal prices.
"We hope that this will make up for the inconvenience and frustration caused by our initial hiccup, and hope to share many hours of amazing experience with you on Nintendo Switch 2 in future," Owlcat Games announced.
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader has sold more than two million copies on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2. Now, you can join the fun on Switch 2 without suffering and reap the free benefits – kudos to Owlcat, not many companies are willing to do the same.
