It seems like the famous company hasn't found anything incriminating.
Pocketpair
When Palworld first appeared, it was immediately dubbed Pokémon with guns. No one had any doubt that Pocketpair drew inspiration from Nintendo's popular game, even (especially) Nintendo itself. At the beginning of the year, The Pokémon Company said it would "investigate and take appropriate measures to address any acts that infringe on intellectual property rights related to the Pokémon." Considering Nintendo's love for suing people and companies, that was not unexpected. But has it really accused Pocketpair of stealing its assets?
Apparently not. In an interview with GameFile (via PC Gamer), Palworld's creator Takuro Mizobe said the team heard "nothing at all" from the game giant. "Nintendo and The Pokémon Company didn't say anything to us".
Well, that's a relief, although not a very surprising one. While Palworld does look a lot like Pokémon, you can't exactly say it copied the older game 1:1. Plus, as PC Gamer noted, it can be said The Pokémon Company is guilty of "taking inspiration" from other works as well.
It's funny, but Mizobe himself accused other developers, including Tencent, of creating clones of his game. Maybe it will become another Nintendo one day, which recently filed a lawsuit against the creator of the Yuzu emulator and asked the makers of Garry's Mod to take down content related to the company.
