Pixar's RenderMan XPU Makes This Vaudeville Stage Look Like Watercolor Painting

If you're attending the Annecy International Animation Film Festival this week, don't miss Dylan Sisson's presentation on how he brought this concept to life using the upcoming release of RenderMan XPU, Pixar's flagship renderer. With Stylized Looks now running interactively in XPU, artists can see brush strokes, outlines, and watercolor-style lighting appear in real-time.

The talk, titled Pixar and Beyond! Creativity, Technology, and RenderMan, will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. You'll explore the latest advancements in Pixar's technologies, illustrated through examples from films and R&D studies featuring RenderMan XPU. You'll also get an inside look at Stylized Rendering and learn how to participate in the upcoming RenderMan Challenge.
