The 2014 independent horror film "It Follows" has been terrifying enough to leave many audiences disturbed by its lingering impact. Now, this thrilling concept can be experienced in a video game created by independent developer NIGHT DIAL.

CROWDED. FOLLOWED. has a bad enough background setting for the protagonist: you are a poor homeless street beggar; making it worse, you also have chronic asthma. Can life be tougher? It surely can be — because an entity is chasing after you endlessly, as it wants the mysterious briefcase a dying person gave to you. 

“The thing might take the form of someone else,” like anyone in the crowd. One moment, you believe you’re safe, as it doesn’t show up while checking the crowd behind you; the next moment, it grows up from any NPC in the crowd. When you are running in panic through the crowds and looking back constantly to see if it’s nearing you while struggling to maintain breaths, it’s so desparating.
