The cancellation page crashed.
Game Pass subscribers began canceling their memberships after the 50% price increase for Game Pass Ultimate, which now costs $29.99/£22.99 for a month.
The news about the price hike faced huge backlash from the audience, with numerous players sharing on Reddit and social media that they decided to end their subscription. They note that the price is very high, and for this sum of money, they could purchase a game that they would play for more than a month. Apart from this, some of the users point out that the price in their countries, for example, Canada and Brazil, exceeds $29.99 because of the taxes.
"For the price of one month of ultimate I can pretty much buy a game,"
"At that point I’m just going back to buying games on sale,"
"First time in 16 years I will be canceling my Xbox membership," read the comments.
What is more, due to the influx of players wishing to discontinue their membership, the page with the cancellation service crashed and is temporarily unavailable. "Will cancel as well as soon as I’m able to access the page," reads one of the comments to the Reddit post dedicated to the topic.

Last year, the price for Game Pass Ultimate was increased from $16.99 to $19.99.
The Ultimate plan will now include access to over 75 day one releases a year, the Fortnite Crew for $11.99 per month, along with the Ubisoft+ Classics pack, valued at $7.99/month per platform.
