Players Suspect Leslie Benzies's Game Platform EVERYWHERE Might Be Canceled

Its website now leads to MindsEye.

A couple of years ago, Leslie Benzies, one of the developers behind Red Dead Redemption and GTA, revealed EVERYWHERE, a community-driven gaming platform powered by Unreal Engine that allows you to "build, play, and connect with other players in a shared world experience."

MindsEye, an AAA action game set in a cyberpunk world, was supposed to be released on Benzies's Roblox competitor, but it looks like there are dark clouds surrounding EVERYWHERE.

Reddit users noticed that the platform's website now redirects you to MindsEye. This might mean that Benzies's team has given up on the development, and EVERYWHERE has been quietly canceled. This is, of course, just an assumption, but it's hard to think of another reason why the website has been "removed."

EVERYWHERE has not been a successful venture, despite Benzies raising hundreds of thousands of dollars. Players responded poorly and just couldn't find anything new or exciting about the platform, which led to delays. If you go to the MindsEye site, you'll see that it will be released for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series, with no mention of EVERYWHERE in spite of the original plan.

Perhaps this is for the best, and Benzies should focus on creating games like MindsEye, which is scheduled for June 10, rather than Roblox clones.
