Pokémon UNITE Will Shut Down on Switch & Mobile in March 2027

The MOBA will still host Aeos Crown 2027 qualifiers before it goes offline.

The Pokémon Company has announced the Nintendo Switch and mobile versions of Pokémon UNITE will shut down on March 23, 2027, at 00:00 UTC. After that, players will no longer be able to log in or take part in battles.

The company said players who download the required library data before the shutdown will still be able to use the feature to view certain records and in-game content. Those who don’t will lose access.

Aeos gem sales and new UNITE Club memberships were suspended on October 27, and automatic renewals have stopped. Current members can still use their benefits until their membership expires. A special event and a library update will arrive on November 12, and qualifiers for the Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo tournament will begin on December 5, as previously announced.

"We offer our sincerest gratitude to the many Trainers who have played since service started for the Nintendo Switch version on July 21, 2021. We would like to express our thanks to everyone by holding a special event until service ends," said the company.

After service ends, the company will take down the game content guidelines for online platforms and stop updating them, and will stop providing support for the use of Pokémon UNITE videos and images.
