Poppy Playtime Universe Gets a New Survival Horror Co-Op Game

Explore the legendary locations through the eyes of a Smiling Critter in Escape from Playtime.

At Gamescom 2026 Future Games Show, Mob Entertainment revealed a new co-op survival horror game titled Escape from Playtime, set in the Poppy Playtime universe.

The game supports 1-4 players, who take on the role of Smiling Critters trapped in an abandoned toy factory. A mysterious Voice sent them to that gloomy place to collect the needed resources, while rejected Playtime Co. creations stalk the eerie corridors, leading to classrooms, warehouses, and testing labs. The surroundings help players survive: fellow critters can search for tools, clues, and hiding spots; create distractions; and discover alternate routes.

Mob Entertainment

Escape from Playtime features some of the most iconic Poppy Playtime locations, which players can explore through the eyes of a Smiling Critter. However, the mysterious Voice can change the factory's layout, and it will also feature procedurally generated environments that change with each run.

At first, the co-op will launch in early access with the full cast of eight characters, one starter zone, and main enemies. Other content will appear based on players' feedback.
