Procedural Pixelated Fire Shader Set Up with Blender

Check out how it was made.

3D Artist eeeeelord unveiled this cool procedural pixelated fire shader crafted with Blender.

The artist explained that they used one 4D Noise Texture as the base, modified through a Mapping node, shaped with multiple gradients, and refined using a Color Ramp. For the pixelation effect, they used a Voronoi texture, adjusting the Randomness parameter between the Mapping and Texture Coordinate nodes across all coordinate setups.

Importantly, one should use the position socket and not the color or distance sockets. In the comments to the Reddit post, the creator clarified the details of setting up the shader.

Pixelated style looks appealing and adds a retro-inspired charm to artworks. Explore more of the fantastic 3D works crafted with this aesthetic, such as Dream Mix Games' high-quality Blender shader and a tutorial, a stunning winter scene by Sgam, Maciej Drabik's amazing setups, Vixit's fantastic animations, and a greay snowy Japanese town scene by SeafoamBoy:
