Project Re Fantasy: New Game from Persona Developers

Atlus founded Studio Zero, which features director Katsura Hasino, artist Shigenori Soejima, and composer Shoji Meguro.

So the recent issue of Famitsu (Japanese number one game magazine) had a feature article (via NeoGAF), devoted to the next big project from Atlus. If you’re into Japanese games, you’re obviously a big fan of Atlus, cause this company brings a bunch of top-notch local projects to the international market. Atlus publishes, develops and localizes various games, including the famous Persona and Megami Tensei (which is kind of one series, if you think about it). Anyway, Atlus is working on a new game and it’s totally original.

Project Re Fantasy is developed by a newly formed studio Studio Zero. It’s a star-studded company with Katsura Hasino standing at helm. He was the producer of the Persona series for many years. Artist Shigenori Soejima is going to work on the visual look of the game and and composer Shoji Meguro (who also created amazing tracks for Persona) is going to compose the music. So far it sounds like a very ambitious project.

NeoGAF reports that Atlus will host a live stream on December 23 at 20:00 JST, after which (at 22:00 JST) it will begin large-scale recruiting for the new RPG project. Persona will not stop with the introduction of the new game.

Studio Zero is going to bring an original take on the fantasy genre. The game is aimed at home consoles. It is going to be a RPG.
