RADiCAL Motion Capture Now Supports Finger Tracking

Along with an Upper Body mode and enhanced facial animation.

RADiCAL

Finger tracking and a new Upper Body mode are coming to RADiCAL's "world’s first single-camera real-time markerless performance capture solution."

The developer of AI-powered mocap and real-time 3D creation tools promises high-fidelity facial animations achieved with the mode, which will highlight even small details. Optimized for vlogs, streams, and virtual events, it also empowers mobility-restricted users with chair-based motion capture.

Don't have enough space to animate the whole body? No worries, there is a simplified setup just for this. Moreover, you can accelerate your workflows further thanks to the tool's real-time integration with Unreal Engine, Maya, Blender, Unity, Replikant, WebGL applications, and RADiCAL Canvas – the company's web app designed for real-time 3D content creation and prototyping.

The best part of the solution is that it doesn't require extra equipment or a fancy mocap suit – your webcam or smartphone will do!

"Giving our users the ability to capture in 3D, and in real-time, the motion of their hands, fingers, face and upper body elevates and truly democratizes motion capture – including those with mobility restrictions, who previously had limited ability to enjoy performance capture due to its conventional requirements for full body calibration," said Matteo Giuberti, RADiCAL CTO and co-founder, "Our goal is to democratize the motion capture industry, and this means for everyone."

If you're interested in reaching new motion capture goals, try the public beta on RADiCAL's website, available in free and premium plans.
