Real-Time 2D To 3D Animation Creation Tool Clay Pencil Released

Daniel Martínez Lara has published a ready-to-use setup for Blender 4.3, complete with a tutorial.

Since the beginning of November, we've been closely following the development of Clay Pencil, a Geometry Nodes setup built on Blender 4.3's Grease Pencil, allowing one to convert 2D into 3D in real-time. At last, Daniel Martínez Lara has released this eagerly awaited tool to the public, giving everyone the chance to explore its full potential for themselves.

Please note that this is still a very experimental setup, and there are ongoing stability issues with much progress yet to be made. However, it has the potential to be a game changer for artists and animators across various fields, especially for those with limited experience working with rigging systems, like motion designers.
