Real-Time Googly Eyes Animated in Blender Through Face Capture

The digital eyeballs are controlled via the author's real ones.

Filmmaker and Animator Will Anderson continues to refine his Geometry Nodes-powered real-time animation setup, showcasing a new eye-popping and fun sequence over on Twitter.

In case you missed the news, last week, Will utilized the setup in question to turn his face into an animated lemon with a moving mouth, combining Blender's Geometry Nodes with iPhone's ARKit to capture mouth movements and translate them into animations. This time, the setup has been adapted to animate the eyes instead of the mouth, with the author showcasing a VeggieTales-style pair of digital googly eyes that move as he blinks and winks in real life.
