Reddit user gcruzatto, an Engineer by trade with a background in optics and CAD, has been experimenting with Blender over the past few months, unveiling recently what has to be one of the most impressive beginner projects you've ever laid your eyes upon.
Inspired by Veritasium's latest video, the project features highly realistic procedural glass panels, complete with captivating light reflection, refraction, dispersion, and generated materials, thanks to which the project file is only 1.5KB in size. According to the author, the light dispersion on the sides was made using a method showcased in Point Cloud's diamond shader tutorial, which gcruzatto slightly tweaked to make the effect more subtle.
